Congressman August Pfluger Appointed Chairman Of The Subcommittee on CTI

Congressman August Pfluger (R-TX 11th District) has been appointed Chairman of the Subcommittee on Counterterrorism and Intelligence (CTI) under the Committee on Homeland Security for the 119th Congress, announced by Rep. Mark Green, Chairman of the Committee. Pfluger spoke about the challenges facing the U.S., including threats from foreign and domestic terrorist groups, illegal immigration, and the border crisis. “Our nation faces one of the most dangerous times in its history,” Pfluger said. He spoke about the impact of the border crisis on Texas and pledged to focus on securing the border, stating, “It is time to bring law and order to the southern border.” This marks Pfluger’s third term in Congress and his continued leadership in CTI, a role he also held during the 118th Congress.
