Damage to the Texas Panhandle, done by the largest wildfire in state history, is more than anyone expected. Gary Joiner with the Texas Farm Bureau says the wildfire had a 123-million dollar economic impact. Joiner says they knew the acreage of the fire was big. But now it’s become the most expensive wildfire in state history. A report from Texas A&M found that 12-thousand head of cattle were killed by the flames. But, the study says, that will not affect the price of beef.
