Deadline For Voter Registration Is Today

Today is the deadline for Texans to register to vote in next month’s local elections.  The Texas Secretary of State says in order to register to vote, a resident must be a US citizen at least 18 years old, living in the county where the application is submitted.  Convicted felons and people declared mentally incapacitated by a court of law are not eligible.  Texas doesn’t offer online voter registration.  Election day is Saturday, May 3rd. Early voting in Tom Greene County begins April 22.
