Sgt. Travis Griffith Is San Angelo’s Police Chief

Election day for the 2024 San Angelo police chief runoff, held on saturday, saw voters SGT. TRAVIS GRIFFITH Over LT. MIKE HERNANDEZ as the next police chief for the San Angelo Police Department. During the may 4 election, only199 votes were separated Lt. Hernandez and Sgt. Griffith. This time around, Griffith garnered 4,408 votes, while Hernandez received 3,973 votes. San Angelo is one of the last cities in Texas that elects the chief of police.
