Viewers of Canada’s Juno Awards got a big surprise this week, as a streaker walked on stage while Avril Lavigne was introducing an act.
Wearing pink pants and a matching pink bandana, a topless woman calmly walked onstage, with phrases like “Land Back” and “Save the Green Belt,” written all over her body in black marker. Apparently protesting a highly controversial development deal in Canada’s greenbelt region.
At first, Lavigne tried to ignore her, then finally turned and yelled, “Get the f**k off,” and with a laugh, she flicked the protestor’s breast and said it again. It was at about that point during the broadcast that a security guard finally walked calmly on stage and lead the woman away.
As for the awards portion of the show, Lavigne picked up a Fan Choice award for her album, Love Sux.
TL;DR:
- A streaker walked on stage while Avril Lavigne was introducing an act during Canada’s Juno Awards.
- She turned and yelled, “Get the f**k off,” and with a laugh, she flicked the protestor’s breast and said it again.
